 | | The theme for this year's Table Lodge was the Boston Tea Party and St. Andrew's Lodge which met at the Green Dragon Tavern in the 1770's.
One of our English Brothers brought a very special tea carton for the theme setting and many Brothers brought others. |
Promptly at 6:30 the festivities began. The prayer was offered, the Brethren were welcomed, and the salad was served. Conversation at the tables was lively and everyone present was enjoying the event.
WB Skip Albertson brought an episode of the Simpsons featuring Homer as a member of the "Stonecutters" Fratenity. |
| An obvious take off on some people's perception of the Masonic Fraternity. The show focused on an extremely silly initiation and impossible "perks" available to the members. Homer, of course, managed to alienate the other characters and mess everything up during the course of the episode. It was fun to watch and, once again, Homer bumbled his way to a reasonably happy ending. | | |

 | | Steve (Steve's Cafe Expresso) and his staff served and excellent meal. Ribs, Corn, and all the trimmings were consumed with much gusto and good spirits. VWB Chuck Brockway escorted them from the kitchen to receive a hearty hand from all present. Toasts required by the Table Lodge ritual were observed at intervals throughout the festivities. |
WM Mike Rust gave an informative talk on the Boston Tea Party and said that only five members of St. Andrews Lodge in Boston were at the Stated Communication that evening and they cancelled the meeting because of lack of attendance. He further said that many of the townspeople stood on the wharf and watched as the tea was dumped overboard. We were told that the sailors on board the ship even | |

helped to empty the hold. Everyone learned something they were previously unaware of about this important episode.
The meal was consumed, dessert was eaten, and the required toasts were given. A couple of extra toasts were thrown in by members and our English Brethren had a little fun with the theme of the evening and too soon the Table Lodge was finished.. |
| WM Michael Rust then had the Brethren adjourn to the Lodge room for the business portion of the Stated Communication. This was kept to the usual business of the Lodge. The bills were authorized, the minutes, communications, and a petition for membership were read and, as reports were in from the investigation committees, the Lodge balloted two petitions and the Lodge accepted both. | |

The Worshipful Master then closed the Lodge at about nine thirty PM. Peace and harmony prevailed, as it always does, at St. John's Lodge No. 9.
