A Camping We Will Go!
Lodge Weekend Outing At The Masonic Park
| The membership of St. John's Lodge No. 9 and their families met at the Granite Falls Masonic Park for a weekend of camping, fellowship, and fun over the weekend of July 9, 10, and 11. A Potluck was held Saturday evening at 6 PM for all members, whether or not they come out to camp for the weekend.
The Lodge rented the large kitchen and the fireplace shelter as well as several electrical hookup spots for the membership to use.
Jr. Deacon Jim Wold put a lot of time and effort into setting up this event and it looks like it will be held next summer and on into the future as well as this inaugural event.
We think that the membership can look forward to much better weather in the future of this trip than this first event has given us. The skies were cloudy on Friday and Saturday and some liquid sunshine fell on the parade but Sunday arrived with blue skies and made the end of the weekend much more fun.
Everyone who came to this event had fun and looks forward to the next St. John's Lodge No. 9 camping trip.
For more on this trip please read Bro. Jim Wold's report.

Little League Teams Win Championships
Major League Masons Team
| St. John's Lodge No. 9 sponsored Major and Minor Little League teams won their respective League Championships and advance to the regionals.
The Minor Masons beat Kiwanis in an extra inning (7th) in a come from
behind win. They scored two runs to win 9-8. It was an exciting back and forth
game.
The Major Masons beat FV Quest 8-0 in a fantastic pitching and defensive
team effort. Quest had no base hits and no base on balls (no base runners!).
The team faced the minimum number of batters - a rare perfect game.
WB Ken Lane, Jr. serves as coach for the Northwest Little League Major Masons.
For more on the teams see our page on the St. John's Lodge No. 9 Little League Teams.

Fremont Fair A Huge Success
| |
| St. John's Lodge No. 9 co-sponsored and helped run the Masonic Fair Booth at the Fremont Street Fair again this year. The Brothers who helped out were treated to beautiful weather and an overflow crowd. There were many who stopped by the booth for conversation and material. It is hoped that this will translate into interest in the Lodge by men who are attracted by our fraternity.

| St. John's Lodge No.9 enjoyed an extremely successful Annual Brunch at Ivar's Salmon House on Sunday, May 2nd. 147 members and their families were in attendance. The food was excellent, as usual, and the service was up to its usual great standard.
