 | | November's Stated Communication was Past Master's night as well as election of officers for the next year. This brought out an overflow crowd for the small dining room at the SRMC. By 6:00 PM the small room only had one empty seat and by 5 after the partition was opened and the overflow sat in the other part of the room. |

Bobbi was better this month and is getting around very well. This pleases all of us and especially Bobbi. She served us turkey and stuffing along with mashed potatos, gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls and butter. For dessert we, of course, had pumpkin pie. An excellent warm up for the last Thursday of the month when we will really stuff ourselves at our homes.
 | | A very special visitor came to St. John's Lodge No. 9 again this month. MW Brother Sat Tashiro, Grandmaster of Masons in Washington State, graced our table and our meeting. It is always a pleasure to have our Most Worshipful Grand Master attend our Lodge. |
| After the meal everyone retired to the Lodge room where the Sea Scouts put on a presentation about their program and their ship the Propeller. This boat is very expensive to operate and the group is growing fast. They only had five Sea Scouts the last time we had them at our Lodge and now they have twenty and are growing. | | |
The WM opened Lodge on the Entered Apprentice Degree and after introducing the visitors and Grand Lodge team members had the Senior Deacon search out the MWGM and escort him to the altar. The WM then escorted MW Bro. Sat Tashiro, Grandmaster of the MWGL F&AM of Washington to the East where he introduced him to the Lodge and offered the hat and gavel to the GM and invited him to preside over the meeting. MW Bro. Sat declined and WM Mike Rust went right to the evenings business.
He had all affiliated PM's escorted east of the altar and introduced them to the membership and thanked them for supporting St. John's Lodge No. 9. Following this he had the Past Master's of St. John's Lodge No. 9 escorted east of the altar. He presented each with a red lapel flower. And, he thanked each Past Master for his contribution to the Lodge.
Ballots were then distrubuted to the membership and the election of officers for the year 2005 and the opening for Trustee for the next four years was held. Elected to office were: WM - Bro. Joseph Lund, SW: - Bro. Mark Campbell, JW: - WB Charles Tupper, Secretary: VWB James Russell, Treasurer: WB Ken Lane Jr., and Trustee: WB Hans Wehl. Each graciously accepted the positions they were elected to hold.
While the ballots were counted Bro. Bill Werner of the Grand Lodge Long Range Planning Committee talked to the Brethren about the importance of change in order to build a strong future for the Lodge. His remarks were well received and the Lodge is working to make itself attractive to good men in today's society.
The Lodge voted to hold an open installation of officers on Saturday, December 11, at 10am.
The Lodge voted to buy a server for Sacajawea school for the accelerated reading program that the Lodge will begin to fund in 2005.
WB Ken Lane Jr. volunteered to chair the Thanksgiving basket committee and to purchase and distribute the food for this occasion. The Lodge voted to disburse the funds to him for this project.
The Lodge also voted to send funds to the Grand Lodge for disbursement to the Grand Lodge of Florida for hurricane relief.
Memorials were done for Brothers Herbert Wayne Lane, Dale Homer Toombs, and William Walter Goodman.
A petition for affiliation and one for plural membership were read and committees appointed for investigation.
The Grand Master talked to the Lodge about changing to make ourselves more attractive to good men who face many choices in their lives. He allowed that his committee member, Bill Werner, stole his thunder but it is a subject that cannot be stressed enough. He thanked the Lodge for its hospitality and told us that he always enjoys the meetings of St. John's Lodge No. 9 when he can find the time to attend.
Following some announcements Lodge was closed at about 9:20 PM by the Junior Past Master and other PM's from Our Lodge. In the Chairs were: WM Terry Grove (2003),
SW Skip Albertson (2002),
JW Jeff Lane (2001),
SD Ken Lane, Jr. (2000),
JD Ken Lane, Sr. (1999),
Chaplain VW David Campbell (1992),

Treasurer Jim O'Conner (1966),
SS Hans Wehl (Affiliated/Merged PM - Elliott Bay - merged - 1968),

Peace and Harmony prevailing as it always does at St. John's Lodge No. 9.
