Basic Safety Tips For Parents

1. Keep current identification of your
children in a safe and accessible place
(fingerprints, photo, video, physical
description.)

2. Know how to obtain your child's
dental x-rays and medical records.
Don't leave your child alone or
unattended in public places (in a car,
in a store.)

3. Know your child's friends, their
names, where they live, and how to
contact them

4. Know your child's friends, their names, where they live, and how to contact them

5. Before leaving your child in the care of a daycare, preschool,
baby-sitter, or youth organization, check their references and
qualifications.

6. Be involved in your child's activities (volunteer at school and clubs,
attend sporting events.)

7. Know the routes your child takes to and from school, friends' homes
and other activities.

8. Listen to your children; let them know you take their concerns
seriously; don't minimize their fears.

Let's Work Together To Protect Our Children

We all find it more comfortable to not think about risks.
Avoiding thinking about risks does not make them go away.

LETS NOT MONKEY AROUND WITH OUR CHILDREN'S SAFETY!

HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS TO DO ?

In 2004 In Washington State:
 -- 2040 Children Repoted Missing
 -- 38 Recovered Deceased
-- In Excess of 30 have not been located.
-- According to the American Dental Association
more than 73% of today's children under the age of 20 have not been
seen by a dentist ...................and so no dental records exist for them!
